Pop Star Singing

Ages 10 and under

 

If your child enjoys singing and performing, then this is the class for your up-and-coming superstar! Not only will your child have a blast singing and performing their favorite karaoke songs, but we will also provide silly dress ups and props so your child can perform and look like their favorite pop star. On the final day of camp, all performances will be video-recorded and made available online for you to view and enjoy. While having fun, students will also learn basic vocal warm-ups and performance tips that will help build their confidence. Students will also play singing games similar to lip-sync competition and Name That Tune. This is a super-fun class! Some dress ups and props are provided, however, campers are welcome to bring their own favorite costumes too!

Music & Voice Production 

Ages 12-15

 

Does your child dream of what it’s like to be behind the microphone, performing like their favorite singer? Well, here's their chance! Students will have a blast developing their skills in Songwriting, Music 

Recording, Voice-overs and Audio Equipment Operation. Students can work interchangeably as talent and/or crew, behind the scenes or behind the microphone. They'll learn vocal warm up routines, perform voice-overs and TV/radio announcements, have a blast singing karaoke to their favorite songs, and the best part is they will have the unique opportunity to create their very own song from start to finish and record it live! Students will produce a song from beginning to end and have a copy of that song to share with friends and family for years to come. Students will receive one professionally edited audio CD that contains all of their camp recordings for the week.

Hip-Hop & Rap

Ages 12-15

 

Does your child wonder what it takes to be the next big Hip Hop producer? This class will introduce your growing MC to the art of Hip-Hop. Students will learn a brief history of Rap music and create their very own beats using the latest music software. We will teach rhyming concepts and the importance of writing a good hook. They will use these concepts, along with their own life experiences, to write lyrics. 

Students will then record this rap over their new beat to create their very own Hip Hop song. On the final day students will receive a CD of their new song to enjoy for years to come.

Singer Songwriting 

Ages 13 and up

 

Does your child play an instrument? Is your child learning to play an instrument? Would they be 

interested in writing their very own songs? With this class your child will be introduced into the world of songwriting. Students will explore the concepts of tempo, feel, and style as a foundation for creating their next hit song. Students will experience writing a catchy chorus, developing and writing a verse, and introducing and placing a bridge. Students will create an intro, learn about building intensity and completing a song. Students will experience song writing that will last a life time.

Build Your Own Customized Electric Guitar! 

Ages 13 and up

 

Design! Paint! Construct! Play!

Does your child love guitars? Is your child curious about how they work? 

With this camp your child will design, paint and construct a real electric guitar. Students will have fun learning all about the electric guitar. This camp will teach students how to identify the parts of an electric guitar; replace and tune the strings, and to set up and adjust the guitar neck. Sessions will also cover proper intonation and guitar care and maintenance. Students will go home with a fully functional electric guitar and knowledge that will last a lifetime.
